We wanted to do a 2 hour tour of the Amalfi coast for two people. I called around at the various places and Shark was the best value at 100 euros per hour. A lot of the larger places at the marina were much more expensive and push longer tours.

Our skipper took us to all the main sites along the coast up to Amalfi. He didn’t speak English well but pointed out lots of key things along the way and was very friendly, we understood well enough and it felt very authentic as he was a Praiano local. We also stopped for a short swim. He was pretty flexible on what we wanted to do.

Pro tip 1: leave at around 11am and there is a small blue grotto around the corner from the marina. Our skipper said this was the best time to get the blue reflection in the cave.

Pro tip 2: turns out you have to stop and get off the boat to enter the emerald grotto. It costs 10 euro per person and is an independent row boat tour inside. It was interesting but took about 40 minutes so does use up a fair bit of boating time. It seems you can get there from stairs as well from the road so not essential to go by boat.

We chose The Shark Boat Rental water taxi as our primary mode of transportation between towns. Loved it! Our captain, Luca, made stops along the coast to show us grottos, Fiordo di Furore, etc. Our round trips were unforgettable, and one of the best decisions we made while in the Amalfi Coast. Luca was polite and kind. Veronica, who manages the stand at the beach, was helpful and patient with our questions. Grazie Luca and Veronica!

Lady at the counter was rude and low key racist. We were keen on hiring the boat but decided not to because the lady was rude.

Lady at the counter was politely asked about parking by my wife for a SCOOTER. She was not courteous and began yelling. Guessing our Vespa was parked next to her Audi. Either way, we weren’t parked there and weren’t sure of the local laws so we asked another shopkeeper (Gelato) person who seemed decent.

Stumbled upon by accident and decided it might be nicer to have a boat than drive the rest of the coast. What a great idea. Rented for 3 hours for a reasonable price and was very good experience and saw a lot of the coast, stopped to swim, found hidden beaches and coves. Professional team for giving and returning boat.

Used a water taxi across 2 separate days to Amalfi first and then Positano. Very easy to deal with and organise. The trip across was great with us getting to see Dolphins and the Fjord. Captain was very friendly and accomodating and punctual. Thanks The Shark

perfect choice for a boat rental in praiano !!
excellent service since our first contact. the staff speaks english and are very polite. we rent a boat for 4 hours. i have never driven a boat before, and they teached us quickly. The boat was totally safe and well equiped. important to say that the gas is included in the trip (we read online that some companies charge a fortune for the gas). and after our return, me and my wife won 2 beers !!! is not about the material value, it's about generosity and good people.

Water Taxi - found this company by Google search. Needed roundtrip between Praiano and Amalfi. Price was extremely reasonable compared to other companies. Message them on WhatsApp and they reply within 45 minutes. The sea was choppy but the captain navigated it very well and made us feel comfortable. He was prompt - even early for the return trip back to Praiano. Highly recommend giving them your business. They are a much smaller operation than the other water taxi providers in the area.

We had the most amazing morning with Luca, exploring the Amalfi coast. He was such a lovely man and went to great lengths to ensure the children were okay and that we saw all of the most beautiful elements along the coastline.
